Winner of Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary 2013

This body of new work-in-progress uses slate-rock, mined by the artist in West Wales, roofing slates from North Wales and items cast with slate dust and resin. The work emerged from the reality that the artist is the first in his family linage not to have learned to write and draw on slate. (2014)
